Phoenix 500

We are at the races. Should be an interesting race. Such a beautiful day!

It is fun to mix in a bit of excitement while visiting farms.

Arizona

We spent a couple of days in beautiful Sedona. It rained most of one day so we visited the shops in Tlaquepaque. Pretty neat to be in the Southwest for All Hollows Eve and All Saints Day.
Check out all of the pumpkins in the fountains.

Below is a pic of a cross all done with flower petals.

Today, in Sedona, we took the Pink Jeep Tour out Broken Arrow. Quite thrilling with Daniel as our tour guide. Not only thrilling as the jeep took on the roller coaster ride, but archaeologically informative to boot!

We then visited Bill and Betty Wade and their Belties in Cottonwood.

It is such a small world, but an FFA teacher that keeps cattle on Bill's ranch, just got back from the FFA convention in Louisville and had visited farms near us in Oldham county. They saw the Klinginfuses at Harvest home Dairy and Taylor Cattle Company.  He had the chance to share with us about his trip to Kentucky.
Tomorrow we will hike at Dead Horse State Park. Looking forward to another beautiful low humidity day.

New Mexico - Land of Enchantment

There are no Belted Galloway members here, but we found a Buffalo in Santa Fe at the State Capitol.
We have enjoyed touring and eating in this city

Oklahoma farm

We have enjoyed visiting Oklahoma with Chris and Clair. We couldn't have had a prettier blue day.
Such a beautiful area. Nice to escape the Kentucky humidity for a while.
Chris and Clair were so fun. A wonderful day and overnight. Felt like home, with Belties and dogs to rub. Good times good food and drink.
Hope to enjoy their company again.

Looking forward to our visits with family, friends, and farms in the Southwest.  Also looking forward to Nascar in Pheonix.

Virginia in the peak of fall

Such beauty.  We really have enjoyed the leaves
The Belties on the hill with the fall backdrop below.
And some fall color
They haven't had a lot of rain lately, but Chuck is keeping them well fed. The cattle look awesome.
And the scenery surrounding their place is breathtaking.
Check out the blue sky.
And view.
The roll of the hills with the shadows

Colorado Belted Galloway Farm

We visited with Rene and Tom this morning. Wow, they have quite the array of animals to keep themselves busy.
This sign shows a few examples, but she also breeds cats, has goats, dogs, alpacas, a beautiful Morgan horse and lots of Belties.

We had a perfect beautiful morning for the visit. She also has a very friendly Highlander pictured above. Now, we are headed to Estes for a brief mini vacation and hiking.

Colorado Horse Park

We are traveling without the big truck and camper this time. Feels strange going from the F350 to a Kia!
Being from Kentucky we had to stop by the largest Horse Park west of the Mississippi.
It is a nice spot. The jumps in the arena are quite different from Stadium Jumping at Ky Horse Park. Really interesting!
We have a beautiful morning for these pictures and the place to ourself. Now on to the Belted Galloway Farm visit at RT Camelot Ranch. A Beautiful day for photos. It's been since fall of last year since we were on the road to visit Beltie farms. Good to be "back in the saddle" again. Pun intended.
